Putting together Veering tetrahedrons we get a transverse veering triangulation. My guess is that the transversity has been added to restrict to orientable manifolds.
Definition
A Transverse taut triangulation is called veering if all of the edges of have red/blue assigned such that the Transverse taut tetrahedrons are veering.
Eigenschaften
Orientation of manifold
Let be a transverse veering triangulation. The orientations on the tetrahedrons, given by transversity give us a notion of “up”-ness in the manifold . The additional colour requirement of veering tetrahedrons make the manifold orientable
