Separable polynomial

Description

Ein Irreducible polynomial heißt separabel, wenn es nur einfache Nullstellen besitzt.

Definition

Sei $K$ ein Körper. Ein irreduzibles Polynom $f\in K[x]$ wird separabel genannt, wenn $ggT(f,f^{\prime })=1$

$f^{\prime }$ bezeichnet die Formale Ableitung

Examples

Fields of characteristic $0$ or finite fields

In fields of upper kind all polynomials are separable.

Non-example

Consider the field extension ${\mathbb{F}}_p(t)\mid {\mathbb{F}}_p(t^p)$. The element $t$ has the minimal polynomial $x^p-t^p$ but the factorisation $(x-t{)}^p$ over ${\mathbb{F}}_p(t)$.
